From afar, the Salt Ponds may resemble a mangrove graveyard.

Closer views show that the area is teeming with fresh growth.

Local Garden Series – A Simple Touch

A Simple Touch.

Handcrafted, this spotlight garden has harvested tomatoes, lettuce and green beans already. Can you believe it’s only March?!

The joys of living in a warm climate year round.

Our local garden series is a spotlight on everyday people who are doing their best to plant and harvest for their community. Whether it be neighbors or those who sell produce to larger markets. All are appreciated.

Have a garden that you would like to spotlight? Please send us an email at We would love to share your recommendation.

Have you started your own garden? Now is the best time. Being able to source your own food, locally is a great skill. Not to mention pretty simple to maintain and delicious! Plant what you enjoy eating. Sunflowers, peanuts and cacao are all making a first time appearance within my personal garden.

Mangrove Community Replant – April 18th Tortola, BVI

Black Mangrove Tortola

Join us for the rescheduled mangrove planting event now moved to April 18th in Sea Cows Bay, Tortola. Sign up available onsite, look for the Pink Tent!

This will be an introduction & demonstration to Replant BVI. A community-led initiative aiming to restore the shores of the Virgin Islands.

Now that many of us have more time on our hands, why not donate an hour to support your living environment? Replanting mangroves helps secure coastlines from erosion while offering natural breeding grounds for Caribbean avian.

Our previously planned March events are cancelled. We will host a full demonstration for the large scale mangrove planting in April.

Please bring your own reusable container, drinking water on site. Light refreshments will be offered.

Sign up is limited!!
