Do you worry that you may catch a bug while in commuting? Doubting that it is possible to maintain optimum health while actively traveling through semi-crowded airports? As your avid travel guide we’re yelling YESSS all the way through TSA!
Friends, happy to share that travel is officially back! Though traveling never left in 2020, numbers dropped big time due to the global pandemic. As avid travelers, we’ve been jetting through the Caribbean and US, safely even during high peak pandemic months. This week marks the return from a 16 day trip through Miami, NYC, LA and back to Miami before flying to the tropics. Agile and avid travel is the name of the game, hunny! Tap in to these tips on staying healthy during your explorations.
Our Recommendation: Caribbean, Of Course!
Duh! What’s better for your well-being than sand, sea and sun? We’ll wait….
The Caribbean region is overflowing with wellness remedies, centers and retreats. Most islands have airlines offering nonstop flights from major hubs JFK, MIA, IAH/DFW and LAX. Gorgeous, tropical surroundings are key to better life quality. Don’t take our word for it, check Google. Soooo get moving friends. The avid traveler would do best to book locations that have their wellness in mind.
As several news sites list that the chances of catching a viral infection while flying are slim to none, winter travel is stated to be near pre Covid numbers for the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Individuals who are traveling have chosen to ignore CDC suggestions rating the Caribbean at “Level 4.” Island countries, Barbados and St. Lucia shown below, have strict curfews in place for locals and relaxed stipulations for visitors. Dominica, shown above has a bright and beautiful campaign that welcomes new visitors with a 5 day quarantine for unvaccinated passengers. Always make sure to research entry protocols prior to departure! As the climate rapidly changes each week, we are seeing restrictions removed quickly, as these small island states prepare for an active high season.
The Virgin Islands (UK) is a gem to visit for any avid traveler, if you are able to get access. Government mandated 7 day quarantine and multiple testing on arrival make a quick vacay quite difficult if you have chosen not to get the shot. Next door, the US sister islands, St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John have a quick, easy approval process for all traveling, requiring a negative test result within 72 hours of arrival.
