Cultivate the VI
Garden volunteers will be on site cultivating local Virgin Islands farms until July 2021.
Stay tuned for further updates!

April has been off to an awesome start! This Sunday our group of volunteers spent three hours cultivating the pineapple garden in New Bush. Our tasks included exploring the New Bush ghut, planting okra seeds, weeding and placing mulch throughout the pineapples! Want to cultivate with us? We will be back on the farm April 17th and 18th!

We must thank Principal Tobin at the Seven Day Adventist School here in the Virgin Islands for his willingness to collaborate with us for this fantastic initiative! And we can’t forget Mr. Pete Smith who attended with his two youth volunteers, Jordan and Jade. Mrs. Prevost who waited patiently for us to arrive with her son, Keryan. Not to mention the little ones from Cane Garden Bay who came out to lend a hand, Joshua, Johnathan, and Aaliyah. And Ms. Janice was such a great help during the garden session! Check out the young explores below!

Garden Volunteer Break
Garden Volunteers enjoy a coconut water break on the Pineapple Farm.
Coconut Water Cultivate
Farmer Shallom gifts volunteers with essential coconut water and offered expert advice on chopping methods. The nuts were then used for garden mulch on the farm.
A simple way to cultivate with no waste!

Your support is greatly appreciated! Not in the Virgin Islands but would like to lend a hand? Send us a donation! A minimal $3 dollars will help secure our Conserve Caribbean initiative. Thanks in advance!
