Supporting Black Owned Businesses on Sunday’s in San Diego at Hillcrest Farmers Market
Hit the Hillcrest Farmers Market to support black owned businesses in the San Diego area. Grabbed a dozen cookies at Maya’s Cookies! Decadent and enjoyed by all, including non-vegans! Please make sure you test out these treats! Image Credit: Din Hen
Hillcrest does it’s best to keep customers safe during the current community health crisis. Allowing vendors to sell items one day a week with a large turn out seen in the photos below. Image Credit: Din Hen
Vendors have popcorn, produce, plants, candy, fresh juice and variety of cooked foods available for purchase. Flavors of East Africa was a favorite with great Afro-beats and spicy jerk chicken.
The city of San Diego gives the community permission to use the Department of Motor Vehicles parking lot to host this large market with 175 different vendors. Looking forward to seeing more farmers market pop up throughout the Caribbean.
