Where We Began – April 2021

Twelve months ago, Unified Events officially moved into to our first retail location in the Caribbean region. Extremely pumped to have come this far in the Virgin Islands!

Since then we’ve sold countless pounds of fresh, local produce and built relationships with business owners, clients and farmers throughout the territory. To generate revenue, we provide comprehensive travel services, incorporating visa processing, air travel and hotel booking for individuals coming into Virgin Islands. What a journey!

The Trials

Operating a commercial space has certainly been a new experience. Not for the meek! Main concerns include security, improved indoor air quality, and establishing an efficient business relationship with landlord/property owner.

Within the last year we’ve have battled interior black mold, violent customers and continued discourtesy from a negligent landlord, all while dealing with daily customer requests and general property maintenance.

Virgin Islands Growth

Unified Events continues to grow as a social enterprise throughout the Caribbean and US regions. Our mission to cultivate, connect and propel sustainable communities flourishes through our relationships. As our business service has successfully completed 77 applications for Visa applications for travelers visiting the Virgin Islands, we are so thankful to all our clients and customers who encourage and push us to be better.

The biggest lesson learned? Product/service pricing is key to continue sustainability for all entrepreneurs. “Do not underestimate the value that you are creating.” – Verinder K. Syal. Experiment with your pricing as low prices are rarely the right answer. We’ve found ways to increase value, which reflect higher prices which customers willing pay!

As we head into year two, our organizational goals have shifted to offer simplified service and more convenience. While seeking to partner with large brands like interCaribbean, Massy Group and other conglomerates in the region. Send your well wishes!
