Seedling Source: Young Man is Spotlight Friday Farmer
Seedling Source, Rakeem
At 24, Rakeem, known in the Virgin Islands as the seedling source, shares that agriculture is a life long habit, “It’s what I know.” He provided a quick tour through his garden setup for us this week. Inspiring and appreciate, Rakeem’s ability to make something from nothing is easy to see. Seen above, using the plastic barrel that collects rain water for his seedling crop, the young gentleman shared that gardening isn’t as hard as many think. The animated joy displayed while discussing his passion is why he deserves the spotlight this Friday!

Seedling Source, Garden Area
Using old ply and pallet wood pieces, our young seedling source separates his sprouting space from the small plot used to grow seedings prior to purchase. He shared that this month has been extremely busy with many people purchasing his $5 seedlings to grow at home.
